The fist week of practice has been a chilly one but it's hard to believe it's almost over!  Thank you for being patient as we get into the swing of things with our new coaching staff, etc.  Please talk to a coach or reply to this email if you have any concerns with practices so far.  The coaches are still working to learn everyone's swim experience level and put them in the lane/practice where they will feel comfortable and get the most benefit from practice. 

MOCK MEET - Thursday, May 21st @ 5pm

We need to know who will and will NOT be at the Mock Meet next week.  This is a trial run for all kinds of new systems we have in place this year and the first is our meet RSVP policy!   You will be responsible for RSVPing to each meet through Swimtopia.  There is a green button that says "Meet Entry" beside the MOCK MEET event under the Calendar on our website. Please use this button to let us know if you WILL or WILL NOT be at the meet next Thursday.  If you do NOT respond on the Meet Entry page,  you will NOT be entered in the meet.  This is a little different from last year and we are hoping it cuts down on the number of kids who are put into events but don't show up at swim meets.  There will be entry deadlines for each meet which will be announced a few days before.  The entry deadline for the Mock Meet is Sunday at 10am.  This means that if you have NOT filled out the Meet Entry page for the Mock Meet by Sunday at 10am, your swimmer will NOT be entered into events for the Mock Meet.  Don't worry - we will send out reminders,  This is new for everyone!

More details on the Mock Meet will still be coming - we are taking this one step at a time, ha!

OLDE PROVIDENCE MEET (June 15th)

This will now be a HOME MEET.  Olde Providence is finishing up renovations and they have asked if we could plan on hosting our meet this year.  This will NOT change anyone's volunteer jobs for that meet.  The only change is the location.

SILICONE SWIM CAPS $15

Yes, we have silicone swim caps for sale again this year in case you missed the deadline for the personalized caps.  Find "Katie the Cap Lady" at practice if you would like to purchase one.  Silicone swim caps are $15 and will be taken out of shark bucks.  We also have extra latex caps that are for sale for $5.

SWIMTOPIA

Again, we encourage everyone to download the Swimtopia App on yor phone and have your notifications turned ON.  This is where important updates and reminders will come out.  If you need to add someone to your account - please reply to this email with their name and email.  Do NOT have them try to make an account and then link it to yours, it just doesn't work that way.  I will enter them on the backend and they will get an activation code from swimtopia.
