There is a lot of information in this email - please read it all the way through.  There are several changes this year that everyone needs to be aware of!

MOCK MEET RE-CAP:

The mock meet was a huge success!  Thank you to everyone who volunteered and thank you all for your patience as we worked through our new timing system, etc.  There were some times that are showing "SCR" on the results.  Those entries were scratched b/c of a timing/starting error.   We have everything figured out now and should be ready to go on Thursday to get times for everyone.  

Home Meet this Thursday, 5/28 against Fox Croft Hills 

Our first home meet is this Thursday!!  FXH is a smaller team and our meet should be over around 9pm.  It will NOT be a late meet!!

-Please RSVP here by Wednesday at 4pm.  Remember that you MUST RSVP to be entered into the meet.   This is different from last year!  There will be a comment box and a few other questions to answer as you RSVP.  This is all to help us in putting relays together and to prevent no-shows at the meet.  If there is anything you need for the coaches to know while they are creating the meet - please put it in the comment box.  Those comments will pop up as the coaches are making event entries for the meet.

-All swimmers need to be at SPSTC by 5:10pm.

-Warm-ups start at 5:20, meet starts at 6pm

-A notification will go out when the heat sheets are ready online.  

-Remember that the freestyle relay and medley relay have changed spots in the order of events this year.

-We will hang entry lists on the outside wall by the boys bathroom that will show everyone's events listed by swimmers name.  Have your swimmer refer to that list if they have questions about their events.  Coaches do not have entry lists so please do not have your swimmer as the coaches what they are swimming.

-Do NOT leave the meet without telling Coach David, ESPECIALLY if you are in a relay.

-Please have your swimmer wear their team shirt to the meet so we look like a team!  Team suits are MANDATORY at the meet in order to swim.

-Year-round suits and caps are not allowed at the meet (league rule).

-It could be cool as it gets dark, remember sweatshirts and such to keep your swimmers warm.

-SPORTSMANSHIP!!!  We only say nice things to our competitors and we treat them kindly.  They are guests at our pool.  If a swimmer is heard having poor sportsmanship toward the other team OR another team mate, there will be consequences.  

-Volunteers will check in at the front desk with Elizabeth Stallings for your name tag and instructions.  Please check in NO LATER than 5:30.

-HAVE FUN!!

Concessions: We will be using tickets again for concessions.  I'm waiting for more information on this but it will be similar to last year - tickets are worth $1 each.  You can purchase tickets any day this week (before the swim meet rush).  Extra tickets can be turned back into the Hammerhead Grill anytime for shark bucks.  You must have tickets to purchase burgers and hot dogs.

Merch is HERE!!

We sill start handing out merch tomorrow at swim practice!!  Please come to the social room for either your ordered merch or your team t-shirt.  Do not help yourself, wait for someone to get your merch for you.  This prevents us from having missing merch, etc.  Merch will be available for pick up at the swim meet also!
