Coach Liza's Toy Drive for Hemby Children's Hospital
Hi! This is Coach Liza, and I am reaching out for your help with my summer service project! This year, I served on a Teen Council at Novant, focusing on pediatrics and raising money for the Hemby Children's Hospital.
Over the next two weeks, I'll be running a toy drive to support the new unit! My friends at Novant sent me the below wish list of toys, games, and supplies that are needed for children staying at the hospital. I'd love for our Hammerhead family to help out!
Here’s the fun part!! We're turning it into a competition between age groups! The age group with the most donations at the end of the drive will earn ultimate bragging rights!
Here's how it works:
- Use the Amazon wish list link below to purchase an item (or items) from the list.
- The items will be shipped directly to the hospital, so you will not need to bring the toys to practice (unless you want to).
- To make sure your swimmer's age group gets credit, please either print your order confirmation/receipt or show me the confirmation on your phone at practice.
- I'll be collecting receipts and tracking donations throughout the next two weeks and will announce the winner and pass out prizes at the swim banquet on Monday, the 22nd.
Every donation, big or small, helps bring comfort, entertainment, and a little extra joy to children who are spending time in the hospital.
